by Lisa Sarasohn

A poem is a container for memory.

A poem captures the words, images, and experiences that have made a relationship unique, essential. It records remembrances too important to be forgotten.

Memorial poems can enrich private settings as well as services attended by friends and family. They are ceremonial, offering both completion and continuity in the cycling of life.

Crafting these poems, I weave together the words you give me. What emerges enlists the elements of poetry — sound, rhythm, image — to honor both the living and the dead.

As one client says:

Imagine weaving precious memories into an evocative poem to share at services and personal ceremonies.

A beautiful, touching poem that honors your love, your relationship, your appreciation, with the power of heartfelt, thoughtful, and subtle language.

A treasure that can be read, printed, framed — an enduring remembrance.”
